IE8 the most popular browser

Microsoft is having a good time. Starting the year with high profit with help of Windows Seven and now, Market intelligence firm NetApplications confirmed that IE8 is the most popular browser in the world replacing IE6. It counted 22.31% of global browser market uses IE8. IE8 took almost 10 months to become the most popular browser after its release.

After the release of IE8, IE6 saw its share falling down by 20.12% last month due to security reasons.

Other browsers like Opera and Safari account for only few percentage points.Share points for other two browsers are listed below.

    Google Crome : 3.92%
    Firefox:17.1%

Google has also announced that it will be phasing out support for
IE6 from today itself for most of its services.

Being a default browser for of Windows 7 has made lots of difference for IE8.We can also say that lots of people have migrated from windows XP to windows 7 and being a default browser demand for IE8 has increased and also due to security reasons use for IE8 has also helped in making itself a popular browser.
