Microsoft Office 2010 hits Release Candidate status

After having a good time with windows 7 and IE8 as posted earlier on this blog microsoft is bang on target releasing Release Candidate of Office 2010. Microsoft has provided this only for testers just before a small time from final release of Office 2010.

As promised by Microsoft the final copy of office 2010 will be releasing in later June this year.

As per CNET news Microsoft represenative told that ” Microsoft made a release candidate available to members in the technology adoption program (TAP).This is one of Microsoft’s planned milestones in the engineering process; however we do not have plans to make this new code set available broadly.”

Beta version of Office 2010 was released late last year in November 2009 has already occupied space in more than  2 million machines.As per the survey Office 2010 is downloaded 2 million times.

After making varity of improvements in Office 2010 to each of its core programs, they still maintain XML and ribbion interface which was introduced in Office 2007.Major change in office 2010 is adding companions browser-based versions of Excel, Word, OneNote and PowerPoint, known as Office Web Apps, and for the first time like  SQL Server was released in 64bit, even Office 2010 will be releasing in 32bit as well as in 64bit version too.
