SQL Server 2008
Microsoft SQL Server is a computer application used to create desktop, enterprise, and web-based database system.

The current version of SQL Server, SQL Server 2008 was released (RTM) on August 6, 2008 and aims to make data management self-tuning, self organizing, and self maintaining with the development of SQL Server Always On technologies, to provide near-zero downtime. SQL Server 2008 also includes support for structured and semi-structured data, including digital media formats for pictures, audio, video and other multimedia data. In current versions, such multimedia data can be stored as BLOBs (binary large objects).
SQL Server 2008 can be a data storage backend for different varieties of data: XML, email, date and time, file, document, spatial, etc as well as perform search, query, analysis, sharing across all data types.
Other new data types include specialized date and time types and a Spatial data type for location-dependent data and the new FILE STREAM data type, which can be used to reference any file stored on the file system. The Full-Text Search functionality has been integrated with the database engine, which simplifies management and improves performance.
SQL Server includes better compression features, which also helps in improving scalability. It The version of SQL Server Management Studio included with SQL Server 2008 supports IntelliSense for SQL queries against a SQL Server 2008 Database Engine.

It is the ability of in depth analysis and data mining of detailed business data to provide real and significant information to users. The software allows users to access and review large amounts of complex data. Yet this is only Business technology on the technical side of the spectrum, in fact we also need to acknowledge the human end, meaning the human views and concepts of Business Intelligence.

Session on Office 2010
I am sure all of us use Microsoft Office, let it be Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook any one of them. But I am sure all of us are not capable of using all the tools included in it. Am I right. MumbaiITPro a user group is going to held a session on April 10, 2010. MumbaiITPro is an IT user group which conducts regular user group meetings, new contests and all the stuff related to IT is available here.
Microsoft Office Beta is already available for download and as per resources Final Version will be available on July 15 this year. So Manan Kakkar a Microsoft MVP(Microsoft Most Valuable person) has taken up an authority to show what’s new and much more interesting with Office 2010.
